Activities

  • Start bike trip about 9am Saturday, leave camp site about 8:30 am takes 2.5-3.5 hours to ride. Need bike, strong headlamp, and bike light. Can take lunch on trip to eat on trail.
  • Go home Sunday (if desired can go on to Coeur D’ Alene bike trail in the afternoon of Saturday, just on the other side of the pass)
  • Can swim that afternoon (Saturday) or Sunday. Camp Saturday night at same campsite  or at Lolo Hot Springs.
  • Camp by St Regis in Clearwater National forest—fee is $10 and near Clark Fork River it is called Cascade Campground—fee is $10 a night : http://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/lolo/recreation/camping-cabins/recarea/?recid=10304&actid=29 
  •  Water Options: Swim at Quinn Hot Springs very close to campground. Cost $18 for 5 hours need reservations for day swimming. Phone # is 1-406-826-3150 ext.1 address 190 highway 135 OR Hot Springs near Missoula—Lolo Hot Springs. Web site: : https://www.lolohotsprings.com Price to swim $7.00 Could do this swim on the way home. Also great hiking around Lolo Hot Springs. If desired could camp second night at Lolo Hot Springs fee is $16 per tent per night.

Schedule:
The trip window is May- September. For this year, it would be September 16-18. Minimum of  3 crew members to schedule. 

Hiawatha Bike Trip

Date Options: September 9-11, 2022 Tentative
Time: Leave  Friday 5:30 pm, return Sunday afternoon/evening
​Cost: Approx. $55 depending on activities 
This is a fun bike ride and mostly down-hill. Here is the trail brochure.

Need reservations made prior to trip as will be less expensive for bike trip.
Cost of Shuttle and trail fee--$32 if make reservation beforehand per person otherwise it is $36 a person. This is for Friday, or Sat. or Sunday.
