The upcoming Tri-distict Camporee is going to be a rare opportunity to connect with other Venture Units. Crew 2299 will be there, and has reached out to see if the crew is interested in connecting. Big Sky crew may be coming, and so I hope this is on your calendar for September 16-18!

Meeting NotesOpening Business
Program: Water Bring your survival kits every time! This will help you know what is missing, and how to use what you have. Hydration is important in a survival situation! Dehydration reviewed – when intake is lower than outtake. Hydration – Wilderness Survival 7e Why hydration matters:
Solar Still – need hot conditions, foliage, leaf and vegetation. Transpiration Bag – tie around a living plant limb with lots of leaves. The living material gives off water. Beach Well – Above the level of the highest water level. If you can sterilize the water, but you can filter out with cloth barrier (pour water through). Taste Test – and the crew build a homemade water filter. It was cold outside - but good practice for working in a survival situation. Next event - Sunday, March 13 Skiing. | AttendanceCrew: Emily Charlotte Kristen Cayman Madison Sandy Abby Reilly Adults: Frank, Betsy, Deana, Dick Absent: Emily 2, Alysa (Sick), Verena |
